Scene 6 takes place in the royal court. The Sultan announces new policies—shifting the capital, introducing copper currency, and inviting a holy Abbasid guest. Though the Amirs doubt him, they pretend loyalty. During prayer, when the conspirators move to attack, hidden soldiers suddenly surround them. The Sultan had already received a warning letter from Ratan Singh.
Shihab-ud-din realises he has been betrayed. The Sultan kills him brutally and later declares him a martyr to hide the truth.
