Objective of Advance Organizer Model

Purpose of Advance Organizer Model

- To organize students’ thoughts in a clear way.

Phases of Advance Organizer Model
There are three phases in this model:
- Presentation of Advance Organizer
→ Teacher gives a general idea or brief introduction to the new topic (using diagrams, charts, stories, examples etc.). - Presentation of Learning Task or Content
→ Teacher teaches the main lesson/content in detail. - Strengthening Cognitive Organization
→ Teacher helps students link new learning with old knowledge (through questioning, discussions, summaries).
Syntax / Structure of Advance Organizer Model
